Moving On

The happening place - or should I say the ONLY place!- in Portinatx where you could party after midnight ( because it's such a quiet place, is Vincent's Irish bar, where there was an Elvis/ Johnny Cash impersonator who was pretty good. He ran through all the " Who's here
from England/Germany/France?" and never even mentioned the U.S. ! Guess Ibiza is definitely off the beaten track for Americans, except in the party towns.

What kinda Johnny Cash impersonator doesn't have a black cowboy hat? This guy had to borrow Norman's for the pic!!!

There may not have been any Yanks in Portinatx, but there were some Sunderland soccer supporters! ( Yeah, Mike!) This guy Norman quipped was, "Typical Sunderland - up shit creek with a fishing net for a paddle!!!"
He was actually a really nice guy - from BLAYDON_ and justified his support of Sunderland instead of newcastle in that Blaydon and Sunderland used to BOTH be in County Durham before they messed with the boundaries!

That's the end of Anne's cra *- er, I mean, "contribution"
Today (Friday) we drove back down to Cala Den Bossa and picked up Tess & Ron.
As I mentioned in an earlier post, Ron has a fantastic memory and recalled a place called Cala Salada that we visited back in the 70's.
As it is a bit of a difficult spot to get to down a twisty steep 1 1/2 lane blacktop Anne and Tess decided to be dropped off in San Antonio.
Even with Ron's amazing memory, it took almost an hour to make a ten minute drive.
But we made eventually and it was worth the effort.

It is a fabulous little cove only accessible by boat or down the goat track that is laughingly called a road.

We met back up with the girls in San Antonio where I Saw the sign below!
If you are of a nervous disposition you may not want to look at this picture.

Tonight we will spend our last night together in Calla Den Bossa before Anne and I head back to Frankfurt tomorrow.
