Rolling On The River

Jet Boat Tour

We took the jet boat from Laughlin to London Bridge, Lake Havasu.
This is about a two hour ride each way with boat speeds up to 40 MPH.
As the advertising blurb and the boat Captain stressed there are no bathrooms on board so go easy on the morning coffee.

This is one of the two boats operated by the company.

The boat we were on seated thirty people.

Barb and Leon were with us on the trip, here's Captain Leon splainin things to the lady in front.

This was taken as we entered Topock Gorge.

The second boat headed through the gorge, this is a no wake zone one of only three on the trip.
As we arrived at London Bridge.

We had lunch in Shugrue's.
Most of the crew opted for the traditional English Fish and Chips.
Anne had, - wait for it - a salad with salmon.
Me, I just had Kung Pao Chicken, and pretty good it was too.

Just time for a quick walk around and some pictures before we headed back to Laughlin.

Looks like this picture was taken with the Google cam to blank out the faces!

Views from the bridge.

Getting ready to head back to Laughlin.

I've passed by this bridge 100 times and this was the first time I knew that it was used for the old Route 66.

Finally back in Laughlin Ronnie soaks his feet in the Colorado River.

We sent a warning to the folks down stream.

More soon.

Ciao Bella
Norm
