My Velocette in the New World

The bike came home last week on Friday after I picked it up from the import warehouse.

There was just time to bring it home and stick it in the shed.

Here is the happy new owner with his new pride and joy.

A spot of inspection and a battery check was the order of the day.

Lo and behold it has been converted to 12V

Now that was a surprise, a modern electronic voltage regulator had been fitted and the MAG-DYNAMO rewired for 12 VDC

The spark plug looked a bit cruddy so a new one was installed (it shipped in the toolbox with the bike)

A lot of kicking later it was determined that all was not well.

So, after a bit of internet research I figured that a different kicking technique was required.

The old plug was installed and two kicks later...
