When I'm 66

To paraphrase a Beatles song!!!

My ever vigilant nephew has pointed out that this is not a paraphrasing of the Beatles words.

It merely substitutes 66 for 64, which as you all know does not paraphrase the original meaning.

When I'm 66

Well now I am 66, I'm headed for retirement, WOW, when did that come about?

Peter and Margaret Nash invited Anne and me to the annual engineering department bash to celebrate 
my retirement.

Easy for them to say.

From the beginning of 2015 onwards, I have to spend 24-7 with "She Who Must Be Obeyed"

Thank Goodness that I have a shed!!!

or two.

The entire crew had a gift for me.

But first I had to guess what it was!

I thought that perhaps it was one shoe, the name Jimmy Choo sprang to mind.

But no it was:

The new Norman Cain Bobble Head.

That is a collector's piece in the making.

This was me six years ago.

Now look at me today, I haven't aged a bit.

I would like to thank all of the staff of the engineering department not only for the gift but for the great friendship we have had over the years.

It has been a real pleasure to work with such wonderful people.

Now I move on to the next phase, the new boss is going to be something of a challenge.

How do you keep up with a woman in thigh length boots and a penchant for leopard!

With great difficulty, that's how.
