We left home at 3:00 PM Wednesday west coast time and arrived at our one night stand hotel in Naples at midnight Thursday Italian time.
We were picked up at home by a limo, James an Catherine rode out to LAX with us.
Once on board I was forced to tell madam that she had to sit on the floor for the trip!
Then she found all the seat buttons.
Finally I got some peace.
We had a very long layover in Frankfurt, it ended up being more than six hours.
During which time a severe rain storm blew through.
Fortunately it cleared before we took off.
The flight down to Naples was uneventful, the airport is almost in the center of the city which makes for a pretty dramatic final approach a very steep descent.
We got to the hotel about midnight.

One night was enough.
Next morning (Friday) we headed out and picked up the car.
A drive out of Naples is an experience in itself.
Once we got off the autostrada and headed along the Amalfi coast the fun driving begins.
