This was my arrival home gift; we had a great time, but it is good to be back home.

Anne was happy with her little gifts, and even joined me for a brewski when I arrived home.

Laughlin has calmed down to its usual geriatric level now that all of the bikers have left town.
The tables and machines will now allow you to win a little; maybe!
Tonight we will spend the results of my ill gotten losses and buy dinner with my comp points, I hope.
The next trip is to the UK with Barb and Leon, I hope that I have the comments section fixed by then.

Jeff and I would like to say thank you for following our trip, and that you have enjoyed this as much as we have.

We managed to get our bikes washed and waxed for $35 which we did not think was too bad. I don't think that the girls were totally happy at their work but they stuck with it anyway.
There is a later picture showing that even MS Budweiser had to wait in line to get her hamburger. Last night we encountered a German born dealer named Felix (he was born in Hambourg)at the Blackjack table; he took all of our money and did not even say thank you

We did not make to the Avi to get the bikes washed but we did find a wash place over by the Pioneer so we are headed over there at 10:00 AM when they open.
We checked out the vendors area and I met a couple of really charming young ladies.
In another area I saw this walking billboard, I am not sure what kind of establishment he was advertising but I don't think that it was Jiffylube!
As you can see it is another beautiful day at the river.

The weather this morning is much improved, it looks like about 80 degrees for the high. We are riding down to the Avi casino as Jeff thinks that there is a bike wash in action. Looking at the state of my bike I hope that he is correct.

The ride over from Williams was not too bad; we had ridden for about 100 miles before the temperature rose above 40 degrees. We hit a couple of snow showers but all in all it was not too bad. We arrived in Laughlin around 11:30 and were able to check in right away. At first it did not seem too busy, but as the day progressed more and more bikers showed up. We took a walk around the vendor stands checking out the stuff, you can see the V8 Boss Hoss in one of the pictures. There is also the ultimate HD accessory, a bracket to carry your golf clubs! I think that Leon might want one.
We are just about ready to leave Williams, it looks like there is more snow on the way so we hope to get ahead of it and get to lower elevations. The locals tell us that once you get 30 miles west of here there should be no problems.

Today was perhaps the worst riding conditions I have ever encountered. We left Page AZ this morning with pleasant conditions and just a little wind. As the day progressed we met increasing wind and dust storms; the wind was up to about 45 MPH.
North of Flagstaff we ran into a hail storm and as we left Flagstaff headed for Williams we hit a snow storm. This was the worst part of the ride; the visibility was almost zero and the road conditions were positively treacherous, there were cars slipping off the freeway all over the place. The Arizona HP had their hands full trying to deal with all of the problems. We finally made it to the hotel, checked in and then took a cab down town to the Canyon Club, a sleazy bar known to most people who have visited Williams.
We plan to leave tomorrow about 11.00 AM to miss the worst of the weather and make our run to Laughlin in nothing worse than thunder storms.

Today we rode from Cedar City Utah to Page Arizona. It was a great ride, we stopped by Zion Harley Davidson to reduce our overage of cash!
We then headed almost due east passing through such wonderful towns as Fredonia and Kanab. If you have not visited these towns, spare yourself the trouble...
We have now re-thought our route for tomorrow and we will return to the original plan, we will ride to Williams. If we have poor weather we will ride the shortest distance.

We would like to say hello to Jeff's sister Sue who is following our trip through the blog.
Hello Sue.
Today we rode from Cedar City Utah over the pass past Brian Head and crossed at an elevation of almost 10,000 feet. The snow level started almost as soon a we left town. There are way too many pics to show here, but later we will find a way for you all to share our day. We rode to Bryce Canyon and walked to the various look out points meeting many interesting people on the way. After leaving Bryce we rode through Zion canyon and enjoyed the spectacular scenery there. If you have not had the opportunity to visit these national treasures I would suggest that you try to see them if possible. I ran out of adjectives to try to describe these magnificent places. Just go and see them for yourself. Enjoy the pics.

Today we rode from Primm Nevada to Cedar City Utah. We stopped for gas in Glendale Nevada which is not the end of the world but you can see it from there.
As we rode on into Utah I got a bit concerned that the GPS did not know where we were going; we stopped and re-entered the address, we got the same result so we carried on. When we arrived at the spot where the GPS said "You have arrIved" there was not a hotel in sight. I called the hotel and told them where we were and the lady said "You must be using your GPS" She told us how to find the hotel and all was well. Once unpacked and having found a local supplier of refreshment we decided to sit by the pool and refresh ourselves. Unfortunately the pool was locked and there were no chairs, so as you can see Jeff found a rock to sit on.

The trip has finally begun.
Jeff and I met up at the Starbucks on Firestone Blvd. next to the 605 freeway and no we didn't spring $5 for a cup of Joe.
We stopped at Peggy Sue's diner for lunch then headed on to Primm. We are spending the night at the Primm Valley Resort, it is surprisingly crowded. The gambling started off well but fizzled out, we decided it was cheaper to buy beer than get it for free whilst gambling.

OK Here I am with the bike all gassed up and ready for the trip.

Due to the very strong potential for inclement weather in Utah and Arizona we may have to change our plans and detour to Laughlin by some other route.

Nonetheless the trip starts on Saturday morning when Jeff and I meet up in Downey.
